Ebbene sì!! °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Well, yes Questa è la gioia di Elisabetta, che da qualche giorno si sveglia senza l’assillo dello studio °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° This is the joy of Elisabetta, from some days she wakes up without worry of studying. Questa, invece, è la tenda scacciamosche che ho fatto infilando con un filo di nailon tante tesserine di carta, cartoncino e cartoni delle uova, colorati a mano con un colorante anch’esso fatto in casa, usando i feltrini dei pennarelli e l’alcol.  Il  tutorial di questo progetto lo trovate su Pane Amore e Creatività! °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° This, instead, is chain fly screens curtain which I made threading many paper cards and hand-colored cardboard (from the container of eggs) with a strand of nylon. The cardboard is colored with a dye also made by hand, using alcohol and felt-tip pen. Tutorial is on Pane Amore e Creatività!

Dreaming sea of Gelsomineto

Il gelsomineto è una baia  sabbiosa delimitata dal fiume Cassibile e da uno sperone roccioso coperto da una fitta e aromatica macchia mediterranea. Vi si accede da un profumato limoneto tipico del siracusano e ci si inoltra attraversando una bella e vasta pineta che regala preziose zone d’ombra e friniti di cicale.

Gelsomineto is a sandy bay delimited by river Cassibile and a rocky spur covered by thick and aromatic Mediterranean scrub. You can enter it by a perfumed field of lemon tree typical of lands near Siracusa and you can go through it passing in a wide and nice forest which offers precious shades and singing cicadas.

Mare e terra bruciata

Fino a qualche anno fa pensavo che il colore celeste, azzurro o turchese si sposassero bene solo con le tinte fredde. Poi un giorno ho visto un vestito con una fantasia floreale turchese su fondo marrone ed è stato subito amore. Da allora trovo questo abbinamento un connubio vincente e raffinato: il primo evoca la briosità, la vivacità e freschezza del mare, l’altro la staticità, l’indolenza e la pigrizia di una terra bruciata dal sole. Due colori che a pensarci bene rivedo ogni volta che ritorno in Sicilia, terra ricca di paesaggi dai colori contrastanti e forti.

Up to some years ago I used to think that pale blue, azure-blue or turquoise well espouse with cold colors. Then, a day, I saw a dress with turquoise flowered pattern on brown background and it was immediately love. Since that day I think this combining is a successful and refined union: the first evokes vivacity and freshness of sea, the other evokes indolence and laziness of a ground burned by sun. Two colors that, on second thoughts, I see every time that I return to Sicily, land rich in landscapes with contrasting and strong colors.

Buongiorno a tutti!!

Sono finalmente in vacanza e mi sento veramente sollevata e felice.

Elisabetta ha finito gli esami e non mi sembra vero, invece Federica  ancora macina biologia.

Ho da pubblicare tantissimi lavori e foto e ho un oceano di progetti da realizzare in questi giorni di  vacanza.

Oggi incomincio a presentarvi un lavoro che ho realizzato mentre Elisabetta mi ripeteva Verga e Pirandello.

I am on vacation, finally, and I feel really comforted and happy.

Elisabetta ended exams and I can’t believe that’s real, instead Federica is still messing about biology.

I have to publish so many works and photos and I have an ocean of projects to make in these days of vacation.
